Accelerated free breathing MRI with continously moving table using compressed sensing

چکیده
Introduction In MRI with continuously moving table (CMT) breathing motion is an important issue. Recently motion compensation techniques for CMT-MRI during free breathing have been introduced [1, 2]. They apply parallel imaging to reconstruct multiple snapshots of the breathing motion from a fully sampled k-space and combine these snapshots subsequently. In this study the compressed sensing (CS) technique [3] is evaluated for the reconstruction of snapshots in free breathing CMTMRI. One snapshot per slice position without significant motion or reconstruction artifacts was reconstructed from a k-space randomly undersampled in phase encoding direction with a reduction factor of R = 2. Compared to other free breathing acquisitions, image details could be well resolved.

Clinical evaluation of the respiratory mechanics using accelerated 3D dynamic free breathing MRI reconstruction
Three-dimensional dynamic MRI (3D-DMRI) is a promising method to analyze respiratory mechanics. However, current 3D DMRI implementations o er limited temporal, spatial resolution and volume coverage. In this work we demonstrate the feasibility of three compressed sensing reconstruction methods along with view-sharing method with clinical evaluation on 8 healthy subjects by expert radiologists. ...
متن کاملMotion corrected compressed sensing for free-breathing dynamic cardiac MRI.
Compressed sensing (CS) has been demonstrated to accelerate MRI acquisitions by reconstructing sparse images of good quality from highly undersampled data. Motion during MR scans can cause inconsistencies in k-space data, resulting in strong motion artifacts in the reconstructed images. For CS to be useful in these applications, motion correction techniques need to be combined with the undersam...
متن کاملAccelerating Magnetic Resonance Imaging through Compressed Sensing Theory in the Direction space-k
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a noninvasive imaging method widely used in medical diagnosis. Data in MRI are obtained line-by-line within the K-space, where there are usually a great number of such lines. For this reason, magnetic resonance imaging is slow. MRI can be accelerated through several methods such as parallel imaging and compressed sensing, where a fraction of the K-space lines...
متن کاملA frame work for non-rigid motion corrected compressed sensing for highly accelerated MRI
Introduction: Compressed Sensing (CS) has been demonstrated to reconstruct sparse MR images of adequate quality from highly undersampled data [1], resulting in reduced scan times. In MRI, extensive motion during the acquisition (e.g. respiratory motion in cardiac scans) can cause inconsistencies in the k-space data, introducing blurring and ghosting like motion artefacts in the reconstructed im...
متن کاملHighly-Accelerated Real-Time Cine MRI using compressed sensing and parallel imaging
Introduction Breath-hold cine MRI with balanced steady-steady free precession (b-SSFP) may yield non diagnostic image quality in patients with impaired breath-hold capacity and/or arrhythmias. In such patients, it may be necessary to perform real-time cine MRI. Currently, dynamic parallel imaging methods, such as TSENSE [1] and TGRAPPA [2], can be used to achieve only moderate acceleration rate...
